Solo Vacation - Explore, Discover, and Enjoy
By Smriti M Sharma

Being a single was never such a thrilling experience. Now people remain single to enjoy life on their own terms and get the most out of it. Solo vacation is one way of the ways for a singleton to celebrate. Explore the world like a free bird on singles holidays.

Vacation for singles has never had so many interesting options. Nowadays singles tour has widest range of options. The singles holidays tourism industry knows how to cater to the growing market of single travelling. The companies are outdoing each other in bringing exciting, and cheap holidays for single.

The biggest advantage of being a single traveller is the independence to take decisions and to choose the destination for vacations. On holiday for single, people go for options that are more adventurous and set themselves free to breathe in the fresh air of freedom. UK single travellers are no anomaly. They like to explore, discover and enjoy the solo vacations.

Renowned British travel writer, Freya Stark says, “To awaken quite alone in a strange town is one of the pleasantest sensations in the world.” and UK single travellers could not agree more.

Holiday for singles is one of the best ways to relieve stress and forget all the worries of this world. Vacations are to take pleasure in the single hood. A person on singles tours need not necessarily should be the one living life as a single. It can be anyone from a housewife taking a break from the errands and looking for somewhat cheap single holiday to a supermodel on a fiesta to splurge. But they have one thing in common and that is to refresh and free themselves for a time being.

Holidays for singles can come as a chance to make new friends or companions on the go. Single holiday also open the doors to see the people belonging to different culture with a new perspective. Meeting new people also makes the traveller tolerable and even one gets to share and hear views and experiences. However, try not to get involved as you are on solo vacation. Even then, it is totally upon the single holiday traveller.

Companies providing holiday for singles generally respect the code of conduct regarding single travellers. Sometimes being all alone on your own makes one quite vulnerable, yet this does not mean one should avoid company. Friendly atmosphere definitely helps to cheer-up the mood. That is why companies offer some packages of single holiday in groups. One can be oneself as on a holiday for single yet will not feel lonely.

Thus, there is no dearth of pros to go on single person holiday. Re-define enjoyment, forget worries, and inhale the air of this high flight of being on your own.

National Parks - Love Them Or Hate Them

National Parks - Love Them Or Hate Them
By Doro Thea

Yosemite National Park is a top pick for most individuals. The daylight that greets people as they appear out of the dark Highway 41 tunnels followed by the sight of Yosemite Valley can definitely be called breathtaking. From the far off knob of the Half Dome to the dense walled valley gray rocks to the pouring waterfalls a great shot is practically a given.

Around 95 percent of people visiting Yosemite miss seeing 95 percent of the park because the crowds are too big to handle. But the shear vertical nature of Yosemite makes the crowds bearable in a way they aren’t at Yellowstone or even the Grand Canyon. The crowd is often distracted by what they see up above them. Travels can be scheduled during autumn or spring or winter to avoid the population blasts of the summer season.

When it comes to fave national parks the Great Smoky Mountains is usually at the bottom of the list. Walk by the park trails to find out why the park is known as the most visited one. The park easily clears 9.2 million visitors per year while the Grand Canyon does not even come close to this figure. I’ve been there three times and endured crowded packed roads and pretty but, for a lifelong Westerner, relatively unspectacular scenery. Casinos along with similar visitor traps can be found in Gatlinburg and Cherokee towns. Air quality has dipped considerably for years now. This prime attraction of national parks has now dwindled to deplorable levels.

Travelers would like to see the Wrangell Saint Elias national park also. The Gates of the Arctic and the Kobuk Valley belong to the Alaska parklands totaling 55 million acres. The park service labels it as The Mountain Kingdom of North America and is the one place few tourists have seen as they only stay within Anchorage. Glaciers as well as mountains in this section of the country reach as high as 16000 feet.

A lot of people would care to return to the Grand Canyon North Rim. When I was a kid, my father hated the crowds of the South Rim so we always made the long drive to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. Tourists who return to the Grand Canyon and the huge crowds often find it tough to savor the spectacular canyon backdrop amid the frequent elbowing and jostling going on.

Everglades wildlife features Yellowstone buffalo along with Kobuk Valley grizzlies. A bunch of alligators usually sun themselves on mudflats covering the Anhinga Trail of Everglades which is also a fun to watch. Only their bodies are submerged in the brown waters with their eyes left visible above the surface but another scary image is their sharp teeth that are exposed when they yawn.

Many have identified Monument Valley as being a national park. You can clearly see traces of the West in its red colored monoliths. There is a portion of the Navajo Indian reservation located between Arizona and Utah that has been the setting used for a bunch of movies. Its self government designation however makes its national park conversion unlikely. If it were, it would have been one of my favorites.

A lot of people do not see the point in giving Hot Springs the national park label. The spa town in Arkansas gives old fashioned rubdowns at the Bathhouse Row. National park status cannot be awarded to it but converting it into a historic national location will work. The National Park Service created in 1916 saw the grandfathering of the area classified as federal land sinc e the 1830s years ahead of Yellowstone. Club membership means a hard time getting out.

Something delightful twice over lies within the Glacier Waterton International Peace Park.

It is an international peace woodland delight. The Canadian half also has the fictive Tudor Prince of Wales Hotel where a tea hour is followed reminiscent of the British Empire.

As a person looking for travel insurance direct you should visit that site.

What Type of Clubber Are You?

What Type of Clubber Are You?
By Ben Vaughan King

Depending on how experienced you are as a bar or nightclub enthusiast, you probably fall into one of the following clubbing categories.

Teeny bopper

Every clubber whether they admit it or not starts off as a little teenybopper, just happy to have finally gotten into a bar or nightclub. If you are one of these, chances are you can’t afford much more then 2 or 3 drinks, and spend most of your time trying to either borrow money off your friends or working out ways to sneak a hip flask into the bar or nightclub. For some reason, when it comes to clubbing, girls seem to mature slightly quicker than the blokes which is why the guys don’t seem to get let in at the start of their bar and nightclub careers.

Lounge Lizard

These are the “clubbers” and we use the term loosely who just sit at a bar or nightclub refusing to dance. Normally these are the guys and girls that got dragged kicking and screaming to the bar or nightclub because it’s a special occasion or some social obligation requires that they attend. These people are annoying, because for the real bar and nightclub enthusiasts, they take up valuable seating space for when they actually need a rest.

“Real Clubbers”

These are the guys and girls that go to a bar or nightclub because they want to have fun. These people don’t spend an inordinate amount of time getting ready or worrying about what others think. These are the people that go to a bar or nightclub, have a few too many drinks and just stop caring about what other think.

The Fighters

These are the guys (but also girls) that go to a bar or nightclub waiting for someone to either look at them wrong, bump into them or “get smart” so they can collect a group of friends together to start a fight. Bars and nightclubs unfortunately are riddled with these characters however be that as it may, clubbing is still an awesome experience.

Cougars

Enough said.

Creepy Old Guys

There is always one or two of these guys in a club and can be identified by their gelled grey hair, slightly misunderstood sense of modern fashion and just overwhelming sense of “what the hell are they doing here.” Teenyboppers in particular should avoid these guys like the plague as not to end up on news as a victim of drink spiking.

So whatever bar or nightclub enthusiast you are now, at some stage you during your life you will undoubtedly fit into one or more of these categories. What bar and nightclub enthusiasts you are…have a good night.

Musicians For Special Events - The Answer to All of Your Problems Could Be Here

Musicians For Special Events - The Answer to All of Your Problems Could Be Here
By Tim J Bennett

Musicians for special events have the ability to make your event the greatest event anyone has ever been to and at the same time the worst!

If you get this wrong your event is doomed!

I know that you have been in a bar or a restaurant, kiddy party, fashion show, corporate event or some other special event and had to endure the worst band ever. If you have seen the movie “The Wedding Singer” then you know what I am talking about!

I am also sure that you have been to a great concert sometime in your life and just had the most amazing time of your life. 10 years later you still remember it.

I remember I used to listen to “crazy” people saying Michael Jackson was the best ever and then I went to one of his concerts and I came out saying “Michael Jackson was the best ever.”

In 1996 I had the amazing honor of being part of a team that put together a show in Brunei that also included Michael Jackson and he was “the best ever!”

The difference between a professional band and a completely rubbish band is amazing and they will make or break your event without a doubt.

So how do you find musicians for special events?

Ask Your Friends!

Well you can ask your friends. Word of mouth is really the best form of advertising you can imagine. If someone says that they had a show and it was super, you can rest assured that they had a good time.

I have been in show biz 20 years and I can tell you the bands I would employ and the ones I would not!

Knock On Doors

If you are new to the entertainment industry or just looking for some talent for your party or corporate event, you may not have a list of contacts and the only way to find artists is by searching them out and then you take the risk of not knowing who you are dealing with!

Like everything else in this world, if you do not know what you are doing the sharks will be looking at you!

So how do you find the musicians for special events without shooting yourself in the head?

Entertainment Directory

As I said earlier I have been in show biz for 20 years and one of my greatest assets was my small book of entertainment links.

No matter where I went in the world, it had addresses, contact names and telephone numbers for people who I could team up with.

I have been in over 16 different countries, lived in 4 and started businesses in 2, so I can tell you that arriving in a strange place armed with a list of contacts comes in really handy.

In fact it is life saving. I do not know where I would be today if it were not for my entertainment directory. I know that the contacts I have today are a result of 1 name and address I had when I arrived in The Philippines. Who would have thought that I could have a million dollar business from one business card - but it is true! It is also true that you need an entertainment directory if you want to meet directors, actors, make-up artists and musicians for special events.

I totally recommend entertainment directories if you are looking for musicians for special events. The help they give saved my life.
