Beginning Guidelines For Stand Up Comedians

Beginning Guidelines For Stand Up Comedians
By Erin Garcia

The performances just go on a while and the comedian will share stories to help make people have fun. These are called one-liners and short jokes. They are usually doing the show by themselves (monologue). The comedians typically carry out their own shows in comedy clubs, schools or movie theaters. They will perform their shows wherever they could.

There are some locations where open mic shows are held where even if you’re not a comedian, you’ll be able to go on and try it out. This is the means in which many newbie’s start out to make their own way to the big time in comedy. You’ll find that with many beginning performances you will notice the red brick backdrop.

Performing stand-up is not easy because of the way the audience might respond to the jokes. The comedian will certainly anticipate them to enjoy; on the other hand, that will not usually be the scenario. The comedian must work really hard to get the viewers to reply positively. If their jokes are not humorous, they’ll get heckled by the audience. They will have to eventually overcome that challenge.

The comedian has to focus on making people laugh, or they could hang up their career. They’re usually wearing many hats once they begin in stand-up comedy. The comedian also works as a writer, editor, producer and promoter when they are first starting out.

Occasionally it can take several years before they get followers by having an audience. It can really be lonely during this time if they are trying to get out of their shell.

Practice creating your material and create jokes. Make sure that you involve punch lines that you really feel the audience would have a good laugh at. The joke will explode if you don’t have the perfect comeback.

Learn how to create your own actions. Allow the jokes to originate from various topics. Once you find what you need, practice, practice, and practice.

Should you still feel sluggish, take a course in stand-up comedy and get some other guidance.

When you are just starting out, look for venues where you could be the opening act for the comedian who is further polished. The local scene can be your best option to get your feet in the door.

Consult with people who are knowledgeable and would be happy to advise you as you get more polished in your delivery techniques. Believe it or not, you can find skilled comedians who are willing to take a chance on you or they’ll make recommendations for you.

Have a manager or even an agent when you start getting consistent gigs. The ideal time to get hold of them is when they are in town and they may come to watch one of your shows.

Constantly telling jokes is among the secrets to a long-lasting stand-up comedy career. If you cannot do that, then you are in trouble.

It’s not very easy starting out in stand-up comedy. However, when you weed out unhealthy stuff, you can make your way like most of the popular comedians have.

A sexy yet funny female comedian is hard to find! Everybody wants someone that can make them laugh and look good at the same time. Only the best LA standup comedian [http://www.youtube.com/ellynedaniels] will do the deed!

You Possess Unique Talents

You Possess Unique Talents
By Avril Quadros

Hi, all my beautiful people, I want to ask you if you are doing justice to the God given talents that each of you possess? Some of you may think that you don’t have one but that is impossible for we are made in Gods image and likeness and therefore he has bestowed upon us UNIQUE TALENTS. What you have is quite possibly what ONLY YOU HAVE. No one else has that particular talent.

Talents have been only equated with Music, dance, Acting and the usual suspects we see around us especially blaring on the television screens. But how about a gift for solving Math problems? Or a talent with Electronics? Or a talent to make people listen to what you have to say? Or a talent to teach people how to love one another unconditionally? These are all beautiful talents.

The next question is “why do you wish to uncover your talents”? The reason is simple and yet profound. When you discover what your talents are then you can follow your bliss. You gain personal satisfaction, happiness and peace and one of the best reasons is you can make a very good living off your talents too! When you harness your talents and earn a living from them each day is a gift and you roll out of bed feeling grateful, happy and your day unfolds the way you want it to. The reason for this is that you are following your heart and doing what you love to do and when you do that why would you be unhappy? Your “job” so to speak is a job you love to do and so you do it happily and to the best of your ability and that multiplies in terms of contentment and money!

This sounds too good to be true, doesn’t it? For most people it is!!! and it is not because thy cannot find their talents or don’t know how to make money from doing what they love. It is because they stop themselves from finding what their talents are or from harnessing their talents to make money for them. YOU ARE THE ONLY PERSON STANDING IN THE WAY OF YOUR SUCCESS.

I know you think that the statement above is pre poster us. But think about it for the next 2 days. I will give you some food for thought. Is your lack of belief, lack of energy, fear of success/failure holding you back and denying you the abundant life that you are meant to live and enjoy?

Stay Strong and Beautiful!

How To Find Simple Face Painting Patterns for Kids

How To Find Simple Face Painting Patterns for Kids
By Lee Richards

There are lots of ways of finding face painting patterns. My favorites are YouTube and other video sites, as well as just asking kids what they like. I have two children, so that’s fairly easy to do. Another way you can get ideas for patterns for painting faces is to keep up with what the superheroes are. Also, you can watch out for movies.

As far as movies, Harry Potter is fairly hard to draw, and wouldn’t necessarily mean anything to a four-year old, but a dragon would mean a lot to a four-year old!

The old standards, as far as painting faces, always are hits. Sport motifs for boys and hearts and horses for girls work well. Little girls love the idea of having a simple portrait of a horse paint on their little cheeks. Boys can go with stars, Superman, fire engines, and anything else that boys love. I even had one little guy ask me to paint a bass, because he had caught his first one the weekend before.

If you want more elaborate face painting patterns, you’re going to have to work a little harder. I have a great whole face cat that I paint on little girls. A variation of this is a lion for little boys. These patterns took some time to figure out. I practiced on myself first, then on my children. (Don’t do this when you need to leave early for work. Face paint is sometimes a little hard to get off.)

Halloween face paint patters are really fun around October. I can draw a really “scary” Dracula, and also a skeleton design. The skeleton takes a while, but the Dracula is easy. I found a picture of Dracula online, then sat in front of a mirror and practiced on myself. Once I got my face the way I wanted, I took a picture of myself and used then whenever I painted someone else’s face.

What Type of Clubber Are You?

What Type of Clubber Are You?
By Ben Vaughan King

Depending on how experienced you are as a bar or nightclub enthusiast, you probably fall into one of the following clubbing categories.

Teeny bopper

Every clubber whether they admit it or not starts off as a little teenybopper, just happy to have finally gotten into a bar or nightclub. If you are one of these, chances are you can’t afford much more then 2 or 3 drinks, and spend most of your time trying to either borrow money off your friends or working out ways to sneak a hip flask into the bar or nightclub. For some reason, when it comes to clubbing, girls seem to mature slightly quicker than the blokes which is why the guys don’t seem to get let in at the start of their bar and nightclub careers.

Lounge Lizard

These are the “clubbers” and we use the term loosely who just sit at a bar or nightclub refusing to dance. Normally these are the guys and girls that got dragged kicking and screaming to the bar or nightclub because it’s a special occasion or some social obligation requires that they attend. These people are annoying, because for the real bar and nightclub enthusiasts, they take up valuable seating space for when they actually need a rest.

“Real Clubbers”

These are the guys and girls that go to a bar or nightclub because they want to have fun. These people don’t spend an inordinate amount of time getting ready or worrying about what others think. These are the people that go to a bar or nightclub, have a few too many drinks and just stop caring about what other think.

The Fighters

These are the guys (but also girls) that go to a bar or nightclub waiting for someone to either look at them wrong, bump into them or “get smart” so they can collect a group of friends together to start a fight. Bars and nightclubs unfortunately are riddled with these characters however be that as it may, clubbing is still an awesome experience.

Cougars

Enough said.

Creepy Old Guys

There is always one or two of these guys in a club and can be identified by their gelled grey hair, slightly misunderstood sense of modern fashion and just overwhelming sense of “what the hell are they doing here.” Teenyboppers in particular should avoid these guys like the plague as not to end up on news as a victim of drink spiking.

So whatever bar or nightclub enthusiast you are now, at some stage you during your life you will undoubtedly fit into one or more of these categories. What bar and nightclub enthusiasts you are…have a good night.
