Matches From the Mind Vol. 5

Matches From the Mind Vol. 5 by Massimo Martinini

Good evening ladies and gentleman, and welcome to the REM Arena inside my mind. We last came to you we saw an astounding tag team bout that ended with The Miz and John Morrison come out on top over the Motor City Machine Guns. The Guns gave it everything they had, but it just wasn’t enough. This week we will be bringing you the finals of the 1,2,3 Cup. Shawn Michaels and his Sweet Chin Music will face off against Randy Orton and his initials. Of course if you want the quick cut go to my other article and get the official tally. Now, ring the bell!

The match starts off with Shawn Michaels taking Orton down and pummeling him. Not surprising considering the long personal history between these two. The ref manages to get Shawn off of Randy, but as soon as the ref moves, Orton takes down Michaels and starts pummeling him. The referee once again manages to separate the two, and send them too opposite corners. They come out of the corners and lock up. Shawn delivers a knee to Randy’s abdominal area, and then lays in some clubbing forearms to the bent over opponent. Randy winces in pain as he arches his backs, and staggers to the ropes. Shawn waste no time and delivers some viscous knife-edge chops that crack on Orton’s flesh. Shawn sends his adversary off the ropes, and tries for a clothesline. Randy ducks it however, rebounds off the ropes, and nails Shawn with a big clothesline of his own. Orton, still a little groggy from Michaels’ onslaught, gets slowly to his feet, as does Shawn. Orton rushes over though, and hit’s the bent over HBK with a knee in the side, thus knocking him out of the ring.

Orton rolls to the outside and lays in some big right hands to the skull of his opponent. He brings Michaels up and slams his head into the announce table. As Michaels touches his forehead to see if he’s bleeding The Legend Killer takes a second to catch his breath before going back to work. Randy whips Shawn toward the security barricade, but it’s reversed and Orton is the one who makes contact. He barely has time to feel the pain as HBK jumps on him, causing them both to spill over into the crowd. They brawl in the audience with Michaels controlling the offense, before flinging Randy back over into the ringside area. Shawn climbs over the barricade towards his opponent. He reaches down to a kneeling Orton, but Randy grabs Michaels’ tights from the waist and pulls on them, causing The Showstopper to hit the ring post. Randy rolls back inside. Unfortunately for Randy he can’t win this way, as there are no count outs in the REM arena. As Randy catches his breath the referee is making sure Michaels is okay after thwacking his head on the ring post so violently. Orton rolls back outside and hits some more of those stiff right hands before throwing Michaels back into the ring.

He may have taken a bit too much time though, as no sooner does he enter the ring then Shawn gathers just enough energy to tackle him down to the mat and recommence the pummeling he started earlier. Orton is able too fight out of it on his own this though as he rolls on top of Michaels and does some more pummeling of his own. He stands up and looks at his downed opponent. He starts stomping on all of the exposed limbs of Shawn Michaels, slowly making a complete circle all the way around the body. After he’s done with that he stands Michaels up in the corner, and hit’s a big back elbow. He then launches Michaels to the other turnbuckle. Instead of making contact though Shawn Flair Flips onto the turnbuckle then flips back down, and staggers on his feet. Then out of nowhere The Legend Killer hit’s the groggy Michaels with a tremendous clothesline, and covers for a two. Orton brings up his groggy rival, and proceeds to suplex onto the mat. He quickly gets back to his feet and follows it up with a big knee drop right to the chest of Shawn Michaels. He then lays in another knee to Shawn’s forehead. Orton has Shawn reeling so he gets down on his fists, and stares at Michael like a hungry snake. Michaels slowly gets to his feet, and as soon and he is fully erect Orton jumps for the RKO. He wraps his hands around Michaels’ head, but HBK manages to push Orton off of him. Orton goes into the ropes, and on the rebound Shawn manages to catch him with a Manhattan Drop. Shawn body slams is rival, and then goes to the turnbuckle, but he’s slow getting there. As he reaches the top Orton jumps towards the ropes in desperation. He manages to hit the top rope. The vibration causes Shawn to lose his balance and crotch himself on the turnbuckle.

Sensing an opening Orton heads to the top rope. He hooks Shawn’s head, and grabs the tights. He lifts him for a superplex, but Shawn won’t go. He tries again, but still The Showstopper refuses to budge. Finally HBK starts fighting back. He hits Orton in the ribs with one punch, and then another. A third punch and his grip finally starts to loosen. A fourth, and it’s broken. Then Shawn starts firing away at Orton’s head. He punches until the groggy Orton is hanging onto the ropes for dear life, and then he punches again, and The Legend Killer falls to the mat. Shawn raises on the top turnbuckle and this time jumps to skies and lands hitting an elbow drop on the downed Orton. Randy rolls to the other side of the ring reeling in pain, as Shawn gets fired up. Shawn takes his stance in the corner, and stamps his foot once. Orton starts to get up. 2…3. As Shawn continues to tune up the band Orton raises a little more. 4…5. Orton is up, and Shawn moves in for the kill. As he hurls the leg towards Randy it’s caught! Randy pushes the leg aside, and when Michaels spins around he hits him with an RKO! He covers 1…2…NO! Somehow Shawn kicked out. Orton can’t believe it, and starts arguing with the ref. The ref is telling Orton to back off, but he’s not listening. He starts getting belligerent. Finally the ref gets in Orton’s face and he backs off. As he turns around he has just enough time to see a super kick coming at his face…and duck it. The kick hit’s the referee and lays him out.

Distracted by what he just did Shawn doesn’t notice Orton run up behind him and hit the inverted headlock backbreaker. Orton then goes to choking Michaels. When he’s done there he stands up and stares down at his opponent. He walks over to a turnbuckle, and starts to take off the covering. When he gets done there and turns around he’s met with a Lou Thesz press, and punches to his skull from the tenacious Michaels. When Shawn gets done punching Orton he gets up and goes over to the referee, and shakes him. While Shawn is occupied with the referee Orton recovers and walks up behind Michaels. He grabs him by the hair, and throws him back first into the exposed turnbuckle. Orton catches his breath and then rolls to the outside. He goes over to the timekeeper and makes him get out of his chair, then folds it up and heads back to the ring. Orton jumps up onto the apron with the chair in hand, and when he does he is met with Sweet Chin Music to the chair, thus to his face. Shawn collapses as Orton lays motionless on the floor. The Heart Break Kid crawls towards the ref, and again tries to wake him. The zebra stirs ever so slightly. Shawn takes it as a good sign and walks over to the ropes. Orton has started to get to his feet. Michaels reaches to the outside, and grabs Orton’s head. He pulls Orton to the apron, but Orton breaks his opponents grip, and gives a hot shot on the ropes. Michaels is stunned, but Orton is once again on the floor trying to recover from that super kick. Orton gets to his feet enough to see that Shawn is holding his throat. The site of wounded prey, must be enough to give Orton the strength to slither into the ring. He Bursts towards HBK for a clothesline, but Michaels runs under it, bounces off the ropes, and hit’s the flying burrito. Shawn and Randy lay there motionless until The Heart Break Kid decides it’s time to kip up.

Shawn doesn’t waste any time going up top. He gets in position for Sweet Chin Music. When Orton gets to his feet he goes for it, but Orton rolls under Shawn’s extended leg. When Shawn turns around Orton greets him with a low blow, followed with another RKO. He hooks the leg just as the referee recovers. 1.….2.……3! Orton wins.

Well it’s not the longest match we’ve had here, but it certainly is one of the better ones. Just goes to show that bigger isn’t always better. I sure hope you enjoyed it. Next week we will watch two icons that defined their respective generations battle it out in “The Match That Should Have Been, But Never Was.” And don’t forget that the week before WrestleMania will we crown the first ever REM World Champion with two competitors yet to be determined. Thanks for watching, now, GET OUT OF MY HEAD!!!!!!!!!

A wonderful getaway for couples and even family, this sophisticated country on the west coast of Africa offers refined luxury with a friendly atmosphere. This country has several cities with Libreville as the capital; they all have a sophisticated road infrastructure making it easy to traverse through. The easiest way to get around Gabon is by bus because they are many and are low-priced. Other forms of transport include cars, trains and even boats. This country covers an area of 267,667 square kilometres with a population of 1,424,906 and French is the official language.

Whether it is your first visit to Gabon or not, there is no shortage of things to do and see in this marvellous country. Gabon has plenty of attractions from art to history and from cultural to outdoor activities. Perhaps you would like to spend a day away from the noisy city; you can just take a stroll around Gabon’s lively, charming and cosmopolitan capital, Libreville. After this, you can visit the National Museum in the capital city which contains some of the most beautiful wood carvings in Africa, especially the Fang style of carving which influenced Picasso’s figures and busts. You can also walk the winding route from Libreville to the beach of Cap Esterias where the rocks abound with the sea urchins, oysters and lobsters and on the way, you can pass through a forest of giant trees which is an ideal place to swim.

For wildlife, enter the region of Bateke Plateau which comprises savannah and forest galleries and tumultuous rivers. Gabon’s national parks are rich in wildlife and the largest National Park is the Lope-Okanda Reserve near La Lope in the centre of the country. If you are looking for peace and quiet, the deserted beaches of Pointe Denis and Ekwata beach are to the north, Mayumba and Sette Cama are in the south but for water sports, there are beaches in Libreville that have waterskiing and much more. After the sports, you can go fishing in the rivers for excellent catches and you can hire the equipment at Port Gentil.

Many hotels and restaurants serve French and continental-style food and are expensive but Gabonese food is distinct and delicious. There are nightclubs in Libreville with music and bars and food is always served but at an extra cost. The African Quarter of Libreville is full and fairly cheap to eat and drink and some of the hotels in this capital city possess casinos. Preparing and Packing For Your Holiday

Preparing and Packing For Your Holiday by Dan Williams

For many people going on holiday is about much more than just relaxing and enjoying your destination once you get there. The expectation of an approaching break, planning what to take and perhaps a little extra shopping and treating yourself at the airport can all add to the experience.

Having picked where you want to go and booked your flights, preparing and packing for the holiday is the next thing to think about. This can be a matter of experience for the seasoned traveller or simply thinking carefully about what you may need whilst you are away. Given the limitations on luggage allowances, it is impossible to take everything you might possibly need, but certain items are regularly required and a little forethought will save you both time and money.

Leaving your holiday planning until the last minute, just like trying to find cheap flights and holiday offers, will undoubtedly lead to compromises, lack of choices and, most likely, additional expense. Below are some of the most common areas where forward planning can lead to a better holiday.

Foreign currency is a feature of every holiday for UK travellers unless they are staying in their home country. Currency exchange kiosks are found at most airports, but the choice will be limited and the rates offered may not be the best. Planning your currency requirements a week or so in advance will open up many more choices. Your local bank, travel agency or post offices are all likely to offer foreign currency exchange facilities and, because they face competition from each other, their rates are likely to be more favorable. It is now possible to order foreign currency online and have it delivered to home. The Post Office provides this service. It is also possible to pre-order your currency and have it waiting for you to be picked up at the airport. This method is also likely to provide better rates than just exchanging on the day of departure.

Various holiday essentials like sun cream, basic first aid items, travel power adapters, memory cards for cameras and other similar items can all be purchased at airport shops but again choice will be limited and prices are almost certainly going to be higher. The same applies to buying these essentials in the resort once you arrive. Thinking about what you will need a week or so in advance and placing an online order with a supermarket or taking a trip down to your local high street will save you paying over the odds.

Food can also be expensive in locations such as airports where they have a captured audience. By all means I’m not suggesting that you should take everything with you and in fact airlines are quite specific in what they will allow passengers to take on board these days. But packing a few snacks for the children could avoid additional expenses before your flight.

Clothing is another area where planning can reduce time, prevent inconvenience and save money. Most of the space in people’s luggage is taken up by clothing and footwear and of course only limited amounts can be taken. Everyone hopes for fantastic weather when taking a summer holiday and warm sunshine with no rain mean only certain items of clothing will be required. Should you be faced with less favorable weather however, then it’s easy to be caught out with the wrong choice of clothing. A simple prevention is to carefully check one of the many online weather forecasting services. You will be able to see the likely weather that faces you at your destination and can pack accordingly. It may even be something as simple as taking a foldaway raincoat to help on the day that showers are a possibility. Also some resorts see big swings in temperature once the sun has gone down, especially in the earlier or later parts of the season. Taking a warm jumper or coat will save you from having to visit the local shops and buying the best of what’s available.

So with a little forethought, you’ll be able to set off on your holiday knowing that you have thought ahead, packed most of the things you are likely to need and will not be faced with spending extra money on essentials that are cheaper at home. Which all means you’ll have more time and money to spend on the nicer things on holiday.

The advice offered by Dan Williams about preparing and packing for a holiday complements his advice on finding cheap flights and holiday offers with providers like FlyThomasCook.

3 Good Reasons To NOT Get A Tattoo by Alex Gwen Thomson

Thinking about getting a tattoo? Well, don’t. That’s it. Thanks for reading.

Ok, it’s not that simple. But you really shouldn’t get one. Why not? It would be SO COOL! Right??? You could get one of your current girlfriend’s name! Cause you know you’re gonna be together forever and ever and ever!!! Great idea!!!

Or wait, better yet, you could get one of your favorite band. That’s all good until you find out they’ve been lip-syncing and all the guys in the band are actually women disguised as men. Good work!

Let’s see, what else can we get a tattoo of? Or wait, let’s think about where we can get a tattoo on our bodies? You could get one on your neck. Hope you never want to have a good job! Cause you’re probably not gonna get one! But boy, is that tattoo worth it! Get that needle ready and do it up!

This is so fun! Let’s get our whole body tattooed until it’s not even recognizable that we were humans to begin with! That’s intelligent! Isn’t it? Tattoos are so great! Cause you know, if you have a tattoo then you’re cool! And you’re really tough! Right???

Ok, so this is sarcastic. There are a wide variety of reasons NOT to get a tattoo. The top 3 are as follows:

- Tattoos are permanent! (Getting them removed is difficult and will leave scars.)
- Tattoos can prevent you from getting a job!
- When you’re older, you may regret the tattoo but you’re stuck with it!

Got a tattoo you need to get rid of? Learn about your tattoo removal tca options at http://www.nuviderm.com
